The girls varsity soccer team delivered a season that will be remembered for years. Under Coach Klaff’s leadership, the team displayed talent, determination, and an unbreakable spirit, earning their spot in the championship game against Key School.
Freshmen Maryn M. ’29 and Alyssa Stahl ’29 made immediate contributions, bringing energy and skill that strengthened the team from the start. Upperclassmen Ella G. ‘27 and Marlow M. ’27 led the scoring charge, consistently putting the ball in the net when it mattered most. Reflecting on the season, Ella G. said, “We may not have been the best, but we had the heart. That’s what carried us through every game”.
In goal, Sam B. ’27 made incredible saves, keeping the team in contention during high-pressure moments. Defender Shana L. ’27 anchored the backline, joined by sophomores Adina B. ‘28 and Aviva B. ’28, who were standout players in defense. Defensive midfielder Sammi D. ’26 also shut down opposing attacks.
Though the season ended with a tough loss to Key School in the championship, the achievements of this team were remarkable. Coach Klaff summarized, “The talent on this team was at a level I have not seen in years past. Watching these girls play, fight, and win was extremely rewarding for me as their coach”.
With young talent ready to rise and experienced leaders returning, the future looks bright for this girls varsity soccer team, and the heart they showed this year will continue to define them.
