Dear Reader,

Welcome to KolBt, Beth Tfiloh’s student newspaper— for the students, by the students. We cover all things BT, pop culture, politics, and more so stick around for a little while. 

I began writing for Kolbt, my freshman year of high school. I was this tiny, terrified freshman trying to find her place. Over the last four years, I have found my voice. Writing for BT’s newspaper allowed me to explore new topics and write about things I felt passionate about. I have grown so much from working on this publication, and have learned a lot. I gained confidence in both my writing and daily life. I encourage you to explore new ideas. If you find yourself interested in a concept, follow the path down the rabbit hole and see where it takes you. Find your voice, write what you want, not what you think others want you to write. I know how cliche this sounds, but be your truest and most authentic self. You’ll find your place and until then, stay curious and keep going.
