The shofar blows, loud and clear,
as we gather around the table,
dipping our apples in honey,
hoping for sweetness in the year in front of us
The air is full of new beginnings and thoughts.
We think about what we’ve done,
what we want to change,
and what kind of people we want to be in the new year.
The candles shine,
while prayers rise.
It’s time to say sorry,
to forgive,
and to start over.
Rosh Hashanah is not just a day.
It’s a chance to stop what you’re doing,
to pause, reflect,
and to start over with hope.
