- Concerned frown: This emoji, at first glance, looks mildly distressed. However, there are layers to its uses. Not only can it be used in classic cases of discomfort, but also fear and shock. The dog ran away, you’ve come down with a concerning cough, you’ve received your report card, use this emoji.
- Gleeful smile: Epitomizing pure happiness this emoji doesn’t look oddly fearful like some of the other smiling emojis do; its contagious excitement is apparent.
- Fencing person: On surface level, this emoji depicts a person wielding a sword for fencing. However, its connotations run deeper than that. This emoji can be used in various conversational cases, defending yourself in an argument, telling your parents not to eat your leftovers, the list goes on.
- Peaceful smile: Another smiling emoji, the peaceful smile, depicts contentment. It is a “meaningful” emoji, if you will. It can be used when expressing that you like your friend’s new outfit or telling your mom that you will be home on time so she needn’t worry. Conversely, it can be a good buffer before dropping some ominous information. Use it before texting your brother “time’s up” out of the blue.
- Ominous standing girl: This seemingly innocent emoji can be used to spice up a conversation in several fashions. When used correctly, it can be perceived as lonely, awkward, or downright monious. Use her after telling your siblings that it’s time for dinner or that your mother is expecting you downstairs, they will be confused and slightly unnerved. She is just standing there, so limp, so useless.
